Edinburgh Castle

Not many cities boast a castle on an extinct volcano at the centre! That said the reality is if you are exploring Edinburgh on foot or by bus it is almost inevitable that you will see it multiple times from a distance. I say enjoy the view and take a photo from Princes St, especially if you only have 1-2 days in Edinburgh. Use your time and money on something else away from the hordes of tourists.
