Stirling Castle

If you have access to a car and want to see a castle I recommend this over Edinburgh castle. It shares a few of the same qualities as Edinburgh castle (on a rock overlooking the town) but it's a chance to get out of the city and the queues canbit a bit smaller. If you do go it has multiple floors dedicated to military history. Unless that's your thing skip a few and prioritise the rest of the castle.
